Monarch Hill Landfill — the facility Broward residents call "Mount Trashmore" — generates odour that affects surrounding neighbourhoods. When the manufacturing system processes those materials instead, the odour source stops. Residents near the landfill notice this first.

The conversion process produces ultrapure water as a by-product — at full scale, approximately 3 million gallons per day. That's designed to supply the equivalent of about 30,000 Broward households' daily water needs, produced entirely from the materials you put out.

Today, some Broward collection routes use open-top vehicles — load visible, materials exposed. The manufacturing system uses fully enclosed delivery vehicles. Nothing open on residential roads. Quieter. Cleaner. No visible load.

At full scale, the Advanced Circular Manufacturing facility creates 250 direct manufacturing positions and an estimated 750 supporting jobs in the regional economy. These are manufacturing roles — skilled, permanent, and based in Broward County — not logistics or short-term positions.

The conversion process recovers synthetic graphite, graphene compounds, recovered minerals, and other manufactured materials from what your household puts out. Most of what enters the facility leaves as something with commercial value — shipped globally. Nothing wasted.

At full scale, the manufacturing system is designed to remove the equivalent of about 71,400 cars from the road every year — measured in greenhouse gas tonnes avoided. Over 30 years, that adds up to nearly 10 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent not released. Broward becomes a climate contributor, not just a consumer.
